You’re coming with me!

geek-vacation.jpg

I’m on vacation this week.  This isn’t one of those carefully planned weeks.  I might just hangout at home and finish projects.  But in looking at trip possibilities, the first thing I considered was wireless access.  As different as that is from when we hopped in the car to go to Six Flags when I was a kid, I don’t think I’m alone in wanting to stay hooked up even on my days off.  Am I?

I recommend getting a blackberry or some similar. You can use it as a modem for you laptop if you want something bigger.

You could always visit you brother and his pregnant wife in Houston on your vacation. We have pool side internet access.

That sounds like a good plan. I took Thursday and Friday off and I’m in Austin and have probably sent a bazillion text messages on my Blackberry. It’s very addicting but keeps me connected.

Tried the Blackberry Pearl…the keys were wack to me. I wanted something simpler, so I got the Sprint Palm Centro (upgrade from another phone). Only, I’m having trouble downloading the software for emailing and internet access. I have 30-days to give this thing a shot.

Yeah…this is another topic, but how is it that both my son and boyfriend have managed to become vehicles for ticks this week? I’m almost afraid to go outside.

  6. HRB Says:

No ticks in my yard or on my wife.

Are you going on vacation? I need to know these things. I will be back soon and need to know if i have a place t seek refuge.

  10. Jody Says:

…”to” seek refuge. New York City pollution is finally affecting me. :)

  11. sherri Says:

C’mon home, Jody. I’ll make you some spaghetti and everything will be alright.

That picture reminds me of my little brother…It took Indiana Jones coming out of retirement to get him off the internet and out of the house.

  13. Mel Says:

Do you remember when people would hold their lit cigarette up to your tick to try and get it to back out?

  14. turtle Says:

A bit of trivia: I heard that when you stay home for a vacation it is called a staycation
