Having grown up a block off of St. Charles Ave. I’m afraid I will have to recuse myself from this topic as I would probably do irreparable harm to myself and others. To quote Jack ” You want the truth? You can’t handle the truth!”
Having said that I do have a vacant apartment in that very same location that I would gladly rent for the right price. Do I have an opening bid?

Does anybody have a photo of Doug Fernandez after he cracked his head on the I-20 overpass when the parade still went through Bossier? Or I could simplify by simply asking, “Does anybody have a photo of Doug?” hehe…don’t tell my husband.

Colleen, Doug stopped by the newsroom a few months ago. Here you go. There’s even a place where you can enlarge the photo (but don’t tell your husband). Favorite DF on-air moment: We came back from a commercial with a huge, mangled sweet potato someone had grown…on the set between us. Doug said, “Ever wonder what happened to Alf?”

Hey, thank you for your response. It was a pleasure meeting you. Your attitude on New years really made an impact on my employees. You seem to have a great attitude. No photos but I may actually have two vacancies during Mardi Gras. The apartments are all one bedroom. There is no furniture so you would have to bring an air mattress, folding chairs etc.
The place isn’t the Hilton but its clean and in a safe neighborhood. If you are interested I’ll put you in touch with my property manager.

Sorry HRB. It’s like being off Broadway. Prytania St. is cool but it is not the Avenue. However I must say that in my single days ( well even my married days) being able to walk to the Mayfair, The Columns, Milan Lounge, Cafe Banquette, Superior ( formerly Que Sera) Fat Harry’s , The Club, etc was pretty convenient.

Regarding the cracked head on the I-20 overpass (dang that hurt)…ask any of my friends there is DEFINITE permanent damage.

Big M, Dude, I know, I lived on St. Marys just off Prytania while a bachelor….what a blast. Too bad the town has fallen so bad. I ended up getting married at the Columns Hotel. We go back to visit all the time as I assume you do. What a great city it was.

I threw HRB’s bachelor party in the corner suite at the Royal Sonesta. A couple of years later he returned the favor when I got married. I can’t tell you exactly what happened but a good time was had by all and no animals were harmed.
