It’s Take Your Dog To Work Day

scannedimage-5.jpg

Did any of you do this today?  Are you nuts?  I can barely take myself to work on Friday.  The only person I know who could do this is HRB, and that’s because his dogs are more human than most people.

Oh, this is a dog I USED to have, Sugar.  She ran my life for a few years before she went to live with some people in the country.  I think it’s obvious why I couldn’t take Sugar to work.

  2. Jody Says:

Sher- I don’t remember Sugar?! I just remember some puppy, and then there was a stray somewhere in there.

Work would be the only place on the face of the earth where my dogs wouldn’t wag their tails.

  4. Mel Says:

I don’t remember this dog either.

One of mine would be ok at work but the other one would bark at everyone. At nine pounds, she believes she is a very big and scarey dog.

There is a cat sleeping on my desk and two sleeping on the couch in my office as we speak. I make them wear Businessbibs in case I have a video conference call.

The dogs from your family I remember are Elfie Smith and Daniel Spaniel, the dog your dad named himself after.

  8. Sherri Says:

Ha! Casey, his friend Evan and I were laughing so hard at the fact that Casey named a dog Mr. Elfie Smith, with a different last name from the rest of the family!

None of you would remember Sugar. I had her (in my possession, I did not give birth to her) in 1989-90.

Speaking of giving birth, Molly..are you finding out the gender of your baby? Before it’s born, that is.

  9. Molly Says:

Nah, we’re keeping it a surprise. It’s driving me nuts, though. I don’t know what to call the baby until it has a gender, and “it” seems so cold. We’re calling it Chigliak in the mean time.

…turns out im a bird person

whens take your bird to work day?

  11. sherri Says:

Jay, you have the coolest bird in all the world! Y’all, this bird plays games, has various songs and mannerisms that mean different things….a very distinct personality. And when he’s mad about something being out of place in the house, he sounds like a terradactyl. He also steals earrings.

  12. sherri Says:

CT! I somehow missed reading your comment earlier…OMG! I love the thought of your cats wearing the bizbib! Let’s invent the hissbib! I know Spuff would look smart in one.

  13. Jody Says:

I hear Jay’s bird also likes buttons on jeans.

  14. Jody Says:

    G-
Stop trying to give away that precious dog! You need to be the dominant male, like the dog whisperer, and help her get along with the other dogs. Wait. On second thought. Give her away. :)

I was not at work Friday but I hope somebody brought a dog to chase away the cats in the back that people keep feeding. Yes I am sick of kitty prints on my car I may show the cat a certain Lexus SUV and let it walk all over it maybe then we can get something done about those things!

  16. Mel Says:

I have had a cat under my house for about 6 months. It decided to start sleeping on my new cushions on the front desk so I now I am feeding it. I call her Gigi but can’t get close enough to know boy or girl.

  17. G Says:

Jody… she is precious! all the more reason someone out there should want her!!!
