I hate this thing!
I usually have a period of resistance before I grow to love something. But I don’t see an end to this era. I hate my cordless drill. Just tried to use it. Isn’t it easier to hammer the screw in a ways, then, whether it be the phillips or flathead side of the screwdriver…do the rest manually? And that’s frustrating in itself. No matter what you do, chances are, you’re going to strip the screw. Please no jokes, Jody. How do you keep from doing this?Â
I WAS having a great Sunday afternoon!Â

I have the same drill but mine is 18V. I can’t seem to find out where the charger plugs in. Seriously. And the battery is getting low.
April 6th, 2008 at 5:31 pm
I know. For all the trouble, they should send the home fixit guy over with the drill purchase! Or give us some sort of research certification in cordless drills. I want a badge!
And CT, what’s this pyramid crap with the $#@!* briquets on the grill? Is that really necessary?
April 6th, 2008 at 6:32 pm
Nevermind. Just grilled. It’s necessary. Trust me.
April 6th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
I don’t know. I use propane and propane accessories.

Well you need to get you a good brand instead of black and decker. I have an 18v craftsman that Randy and Sonja got me for my wedding shower and it works great! Let me know I can bring it to work if you need to use it. That reminds me we sure use that “Hat Hanger” that you got us for our wedding! It really comes in handy when we take stuff out of the oven!
April 6th, 2008 at 6:58 pm
CT, I was charcoal girl today. Your nephew is on his way in town. He’s about to experience carcinogens like never before. I think you can be arrested for that in California.
April 6th, 2008 at 7:00 pm
Sparky, are you making fun of my wedding gift? And, your comment makes me wonder if I can put a new 18v Craftsman on a KTBS expense report.
April 6th, 2008 at 7:09 pm
I got a great deal on the Black & Decker so I couldn’t pass it up. I got it from Lefty, he said it fell off a truck. It works fine for household use.
April 6th, 2008 at 7:27 pm
Try drilling a small hole (smaller than the thread diameter) about 3/4 of the depth of the screw. If your uding Brass screws be careful they break easily.
April 6th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
I’m using what came with the apparatus as the hardware. Standby Fagan…trying that.
April 6th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
Okay! It worked. Thanks, Fagan. And CT, I found where you charge it…at the base of the drill itself (not the charger…in the back) …took me forever to locate that!
Thanks, y’all!

Sherri, I can’t believe you think I would joke about such a sensitive subject.
It hurts me.. a little.
April 6th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
I know, Jody. I almost hate myself for not turning to you when I couldn’t find the stud.
April 6th, 2008 at 9:50 pm

Even if it were to drive a nail to hang a picture………I call a handy man.
My goal in life is to never hold in my hands another hammer, screwdriver, saw, etc. I am now even considering calling someone to change the paper towels in the paper towel rack. That has now become another inconvenience that is to be eliminated from my life.
April 7th, 2008 at 9:24 am
A good tool in the hands of a man who knows how to use it can accomplish many things.
April 7th, 2008 at 10:13 am
jchristie, I’m not a man.
April 7th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
Sherri always remember when screwing, now listen carefully, do NOT over tighten. Does that help?
April 7th, 2008 at 1:58 pm
Ooophs, I meant when using a drill
April 7th, 2008 at 2:34 pm
turtle is right. It should be snug, but not too tight or you’ll strip the screw. Too loose and it could fall out.
Always use the proper tools and if you hire someone to do the job, make sure he/she is licensed and provides references. You don’t want to get jerked around.
April 7th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
Call a handy man and forget about it!
April 7th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
who needs a handyman when your as good as Sherri
April 7th, 2008 at 5:33 pm
Hey sherri since I don’t get paid for dishing out the HOT BOD comments, help a sista out! Need new diet and work out 411. You can start a new competition, arkla tex biggest looser
April 7th, 2008 at 7:09 pm
I offered Sherri Talley Boot Camp to Jody and she ran in fear. You game?
April 8th, 2008 at 12:37 pm
Game on! I need all the motivation I can get
April 8th, 2008 at 12:51 pm
when do we start
April 8th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
I’m in on the Boot Camp. Turtle, do I have to call Sherri, SIR-YES, SIR! ?
April 8th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
No MAM-YES-MAM, or maybe GI Talley. We can let her pick. Since she will be in charge
April 8th, 2008 at 2:07 pm
I already have the new recruit haircut. I just have to work on my cadence. I can never remember…is it lick, drink, bite? Or drink, lick, suck? What are you supposed to do to the lime and in what order? I don’t want a dishonorable discharge.
April 8th, 2008 at 5:45 pm
it’s lick, shoot, then suck. But in some cases, 1 tequila, 2 tequila, 3 tequila, floor. Then of course tequila makes your close fall off
April 8th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
Some how I don’t think hat will be allowed in Talley boot camp
April 8th, 2008 at 5:53 pm
A friend of mine, Cindy Jordan, wrote that song, “Jose Cuervo…you are a friend of mine…”. She’s from DeBerry, Texas. I’ll see if she has room for turtle and cbp in her boot camp.
April 8th, 2008 at 6:08 pm
So I guess your camp is full
April 8th, 2008 at 7:08 pm
Ha! I don’t really have a camp. It’s just my little play world. (Jody can comment on my own little world where I laugh at my own jokes)
But, I have lead a life of fitness and solidly believe in it! I would love to share with anyone what I know. But know I’m not a professional. I do know plenty I can recommend! Email me at stalley@ktbs.com and I’ll try to match you with people I know to be qualified and produce results based on what you’re trying to achieve. Heck, if you want me to go all Hazel and Jimmy pubic on people, I could name them here.
I know running like the back of my hand. Swimming, too. (More than 30-years competing in each). I’ve biked in big races, but don’t consider myself knowledgable in this event. I know plenty who are, though. And I believe in eating healthy and weight training. There’s also the mental/emotional side off all of this. I’ve found you have to remain positive when training. I also like the whole envisioning yourself where you want to be deal.
Motivation rocks. My sister nearly invented this! When I don’t feel like working out, I call her. (Suzie Talley–one of you TWs).
Know what I mean?
April 9th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
Since you don’t play well with others, I’ll find another spotter. Laughing at my own joke, tee-hee. But just cause Jody is scared of you, I’m not
