Gustav Gusto
Hundreds of evacuees are housing their pets in a shelter at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds in Shreveport, but no felines there are quite this big! This cat, named Theodore, was brought up by his owners from south Louisiana. Theodore weighs about 40 pounds and looks like a really fat cat. But his owners say he’s not fat. They say Theodore is part bobcat. What do you think?Â

WHAT… oh, I thought Spuffy was on the Phelps diet again…

Part Bobcat? Try part hippo.

I think he may have eaten part of a bobcat.

Sher, I’m thinking Theodore must be on the same “Gustav Diet” we’ve been on. How many pounds of M&M’s, pizza and grab-and-go food have we scarfed down in the last week in the newsroom???

I know Sonja! Breaking news + long hours + little sleep = weight gain!

I love my little Gusto!!! W8, did I say “little”?

I don’t know about part bobcat…part politician maybe…but not bobcat. Theodore, the fat cat political feline from Louisiana who believes in “pork consumption”, rather than “pork spending”. I wonder if he’s related to the Chesire Cat?? Stick a hat on him and they sort of resemble each other.
What’s Spuff’s opinion of Theodore??

bada bing, Spuff hasn’t come out from under the bed since I posted Theodore’s picture.

Why is it that all the people I run into who are proud to have cats that are part bobcat and dogs that are part wolf seem to live in, well, um… non gated communities… and I say that having grown up in trailer parks and proud to be white trash myself…
If you can’t afford a pedigreed animal get yourself a part wild animal?
And another thing… why is it fat people have skinny animals and skinny people have fat animals? Me (as a fatty) it’s because JOEY DOESN’T SHARE FOOD!

Sherri — Why did Patch have to die??? I miss him so!
September 5th, 2008 at 5:40 pm
Patch didn’t die, Trish! That’s how vicious rumors get started.
Wait a minute! Is that a little bunny foot in Theodore’s mouth? Bunny Breath, pictured above, ate Patch!

That is one fat cat!

Dear Sherri, thanks so much for the segment on Dr.Rozemaon and the medical community. It was very refreshing to see the good done during Gustav versus the negative! Keep up the good work! I tried to post a question to Gerry May on his blog, not his fault, mine! Anyway, maybe you can help. He mentioned on the 10:00 news before GUSTAV, that he would be reporting on a personal matter re:his family. Did I miss that or will we see soon? Thanks, JD

I have a cat that is part bobcat. He is a year old. Standing on floor, he can put his front paws on the cabinet. He loves to play in water. He only weighs 14 lbs. When stretched out he is so skinney people think he is sick. Bobcats are naturally skinny. He is colored and spotted like a bobcat and his mom is solid grey. Has a round shaped head with black tuffs on his ears. His beard is starting to grow. His belly is white with black spots. His feet are huge. Will only drink running water. Loves the rain.
