GIMP My Ride
Is it just me or have you, too, noticed more vehicles decorated like someone’s MySpace page? It’s as if the car came with Photoshop or GIMP.Â
Today, I saw an array of stars on the side of an SUV. Yesterday, I saw that someone went to great lengths to put tiny decals on the door handles of a little white car and actually gave the vehicle a name, proudly displayed in big black adhesive letters…something Elf 7. Â
These aren’t your traditional soccer mom decals on the back windshield. These are carefully decorated all over the vehicle. Â
Is it disconcerting to have, “In memory of…” stuck on your car? Well, that is, unless it’s Dale Earnhardt you’re memorializing.  Â
Then, there are the usual suspects: bumper stickers. According to researchers in Colorado, people who customize their cars with stickers and other adornments are more prone to road rage than other people. Do bumper stickers bother you? Entertain you? One of my favorites: “Look busy. Jesus is coming.”

“W. The President.” bumper stickers literally make me wanna stick my head in an oven. I took a trip to the southeast recently and they were all over the place. bleah! “My child is an honor student at (fill in the blank)” are equally as repulsive.

most bumper stickers are entertaining… but the promotional ones need to be stuck up under the bumper out of sight… Window stickers are a totally different form of expression and I will admit I have 3 and none of em block my rear view!
As for bothersom accessories, I have a small problem with the “piss on _____” stickers and the stupidly “hung” paraphernalia that some idiots hang under their truck. Only good thing is that you pretty much can know the person is an idiot before they cut you off or can explain to yourself why you were just cut off.
geeze Greg, why such a hater this morn

Ron and I got behind a car with a bumper sticker that said “F— you you f—ing f—” I condsider myself a pretty liberal person but I have to say I was offended.
I do proudly wear my Cyber Innovation Center sticker on my vehicle but it is a magnet and won’t ruin my paint.

Two bumper stickers on my car…
“Save the whales - collect the whole set”
“I back the metric system every inch of the way”

Reggieinseattle, Don’t fight that urge to stick you head in the oven.

A little bumper sticker Gospel:

What Would Jesus Do (for a Klondike Bar)
Jesus Loves You (the rest of us think you’re an a——)
Jesus Wasn’t Greedy, Violent, Nor Judgemental Enough to be a Republican

I think it’s weird to read about other people’s deaths on a car window but maybe it makes that person feel closer to them.

I’ve seen those “In memory of…”, and some of the dates kinda make me laugh. I’ve seen them as far back as “Blank, 1953-1999″. Old, no. Young, not so much either.

Remember the “Baby on Board” signs - not quiet sure what other drivers were supposed to do when you saw one of these, but they were the craze when we lived in Norfolk/Virginia Beach in the early 90’s.

Guess those same “Babies on Board” in early 90’s now need sign in their cars “Teen with Phone”!

I have one that says, “Hazel and Jimmy on Board”. Not really, but now I wish I did.

You can just stick them in your back window in your car upon their return from their trip and save yourself from thinking about getting a sign!
But don’t leave them as they might fade - like some of these guys that put a bunch of baseball caps in the back window of their car.

You could make them into dashboard bobbleheads!
