Frost/Nixon
He lied.
VP Richard M. Nixon told my parents that when he was campaigning for president in 1960. We were at the Smithsonian. I was in the arms of Dan and Darlene Talley.
The truth: I was actually the ugliest baby on the face of the earth. When God was giving out tons of hair and odd-colored Shar Pei-like skin on babies, I was apparently first in line. Dan Talley took one look at his firstborn and said, “Lord, I know she’s scary, but she’s mine and I’m gonna love her anyway.”
So, that’s my Nixon connection. I really want to see this flick. You?

…and look at what a graceful swan you turned out to be Sherri!! As for the flick, it definitely looks like something that I’d be interested in. I’m still trying to envision Frank Langella as “Tricky Dick”!! I saw Ron Howard (the director of the movie) on Jimmy Kimmel the other night; and, by listening to his incite on the movie (of course it’s HIS project), I’d be willing to catch a matinee showing. Peace out!!

Peace out to you, Bada Bing!

Are you asking me to a movie? Sure.
But, yeah… I think this will be an interesting flick.

Nothing Hollywood does anymore excites me. In addition to the quality of the movies going down, you got a bunch of actors trying to be politicians. Mistake. Should really stick to their day jobs. I’ll get it on Netflix and watch it when I am bored after football season.

Good point HRB !

I agree. That is a good point, HRB.
But I really liked Marley and Me.

I love history and films about the lesser told stories in politics.
My last name is Nixon, but I don’t think I’m related.
I’m not a crook either

James Reston Jr., who was Frost’s researcher, has written about the difference between Hollywood history and real history.
His article appears (oddly enough) in the current issue of Smithsonian.

Is it bad that after watching the “Golden Globes”, I just want to see “Mall Cop!”

I, too, am curious about the Frank Langella spin on the film. However, my curiosity goes only so far as Netflix. I’m not too keen on the movie choices currently.

I don’t think it’s bad. I think it’s cool, Mel.
