I have a scar from when I fought off a reef shark while surfing after a toughman cage fight in Bermuda.

I don't have any scars from my toughman fights, though I have given some.

May I ask and Logan, those are the scars of which to be most proud of. I have a few of those and used to be afraid of how vulnerable they made me feel. Like you said, they're signs of courage.

I have a pretty nice scar running from the top of my chest to the middle of my stomach from a heart operation I had when I was 2. I think it's pretty cool, but I don't really think a girlfriend would be telling me how hot it is if she saw me shirtless

Scars can be an avenue to a person's soul! It's actually not the scar, but the "rest of the story" that opens up a door of deeper relationship. My wife has three major scars which I do not find sexy but fascinating as I watch her privately and appropriately relate how she overcame these life threatening incidents to others as they open up their fears to her.

Scars are proof of conflict, adversity, and many times gut-wrenching courage which we can use to share with others that we have been there and that they can make it too! Two good examples of this is Cheryl Prewitt, Miss America(1980) and Joni Eareckson Tada.

Oh, that is sad. I am proud of my breast cancer scars but I don't find them sexy. I'll have to ask my husband.
