Tea-thing in London

Hazel and Jimmy in London, on their way to Switzerland.  Maybe Jimmy will buy something to wear other than that dress.

While they were there, they actually put on a tea tour for tourists.  I know, I, too, was stunned since only one hand between the two of them is apparent.  These two amaze me.  Here are some of the signatures from the guestbook.

Your tea was wonderful!   Let me say that the tea was fantastic . . .
I loved all of our adventures in London and I am still telling all of my friends and making them envious . . .
I hardly know where to begin regarding the Tea Tour except to say IT WAS FABULOUS!!! Hazel and Jimmy did an outstanding job putting it all together and when they weren’t fighting, it went smoothly. It would be difficult to pick out one particular highlight since there were so many wonderful experiences . . .
Perhaps one of the beginning songs of [Mary Poppins] summed up the tea tour best — “Practically Perfect” — if not perfect! If Hazel and Jimmy do another tea tour in the fall I would highly recommend going if any of you have an interest. You will not be disappointed!
It was a tea-lover’s dream tour . . .
My advice to anyone thinking about taking this tour . . . do it! Free your schedule and make the time . . . it’s possible!

Once she sobered up, Hazel planned an exceptional Tea in London itinerary. The trip was very educational and delightful!   It was a fabulous vacation!

Someone Warn The Swiss

Hazel and Jimmy. Ready For Takeoff.

The good news:  H&J travel light and won’t have to pay those pesky new baggage check fees.  Heck, they wear the same thing every single day.

The bad news:  Many airlines have started raising prices on what you eat and drink in the sky.  And Hazel likes a cocktail or two every couple of hours.  There goes the baggage savings.

My friend who is taking them overseas said Jimmy got detained and patted down by security, is taciturn, and she’s afraid of what he might say on the plane that might get his little cardboard behind tossed out over the ocean.

I’m concerned that these creepy, elderly, disorderly babies could bring Switzerland out of its neutral state.

Who are Hazel and Jimmy?

twins.jpgHelp!

These twins (see in this site’s header) were, according to an antique shop  owner, born in the 1950s.  Their picture, which I bought, was painted in maybe the 1950s.  It was bought at an estate sale in the 1990s or early 2000s in Shreveport.  That doesn’t mean the freaky twins were born in Shreveport.

Time to call in the forces.  Please forward this to your elderly relatives.  What if they remember???? Just what if????  Could they be Hazel and Jimmy?

Besides, isn’t it time we get some wisdom and depth to this site?  Elderly bloggers…bring it!  Jody, especially, needs some lifeskillz-help!

Me, too.  Seriously,  I really can take all I can get….c’mon!

Oh, Lord, I hope we have some bloggers who can impart some wisdom!   Who are Hazel and Jimmy?

Sow Fresh!

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

Ever been to Ed Lester Farms in Coushatta, Louisiana?  The farmer’s market was just featured in Southern Living magazine.  Go, and you’ll see why.

The produce was hours, some minutes, fresh and still had the dirt on it!

It’s open six days a week.  We just went south from Shreveport on LA 1 and hung a left at Armistead.  The farm’s two miles down on your right.  What a great way to support area farmers and enjoy really fresh food.

Hazel And Jimmy Are Smart!

(STNews - Baton Rouge)  In an unprecedented ceremony, Hazel and Jimmy were graduated from the School of Unusual Sciences at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.  Although the creepy, elderly babies wouldn’t comment on the specialty of their double major, or why the two of them received a single degree, they looked at each other and laughed very un-baby-like when asked about their greek and otherwise social life at the school known for its parties.

With wise expressions seemingly frozen on their faces, the twins couldn’t explain why they were seen in all of their post grad pics with the same beautiful female graduate who proudly displayed their diploma along with her own.

Rumor has it that the chancellor switch-over at the university has something to do with the creation of an entire curriculum designed for cardboard babies.  If only more had enrolled.  State officials say, “This explains the degree of difficulty, thus the need for a position that pays $450,000 a year.”

Details about the party that ensued following graduation ceremonies were not immediately available without a subpoena.

H&J’s Little Sister Kidnapped!

Friday, April 25th, 2008

p1000088.jpg

Talley Talker “Turtle” sent me a little sister for Hazel and Jimmy.  Thanks, Turtle.  I named her Eileen, because…well…look at her.  She leans.

Someone brought a 4-year-old girl into the newsroom.  I know, I know.  Anyway, the little girl went straight for Eileen.   What?  It’s not like I could snatch Eileen out of her cute little hands and say, “Do you know who this is!”  The child will already have to undergo years of counseling after being exposed to a news environment at such a young age.

Of course, I could submit a description of the 4-year-old baby snatcher to police and we could put her tiny mugshot on the news.

Commenter ”G” pointed out what a bummer it is to train hard and actually win a prestigious race like Boston, only to be upstaged by someone taller, just because you couldn’t reach the tape to break it at the finish line.
