This is off topic, but I just heard about the three-year-old who was found wandering around in the vicinity of W. 70th and Mansfield. That’s about the busiest, most dangerous intersection imaginable!!

    What is GOING ON??

Some people should NOT be allowed to have children.

Okay to get off topic, bc317. This is what we have so far.

Our crime reporter, Chris Redford, is on the story and will have more tonight at 10:00. You’ll also see the update on www.ktbs.com.

Also off topic. I just read that William F. Buckley Jr. Is Dead at 82. I was really bummed about this then I realized I had him confused with George Plimpton who I always thought was pretty cool. Turns out he has been dead since 2003. How did I miss that?

  15. sherri Says:

Hmmm, CT. Can’t comment on how you missed that. But here’s some trivia. I introduced Plimpton as a speaker at NSU when I was a student there. I stumbled through the intro, making more mistakes than cattle Ghandi has snubbed for dinner. Plimpton sort of made fun of me when he got up to speak. At the time, I was ticked. Now, I like it…would have done the same thing to ease the tension. Trying not to take things personally anymore.

  16. bc317 Says:

Introducing George Plimpton is pretty cool. He wrote “Paper Lion”, in which he played QB for the Detroit Lions during a pre-season game. Also,he pitched half an inning in an All-Star game. I think that book was called “Out of My League”.There were several others involving various sports.

He was also a classmate of Robert F. Kennedy at Harvard. And he was in several movies, including “Reds” with Warren Beatty.

Sherri, you never introduced Warren Beatty, did you?

All jokes aside, you guys know that “Nagel” painting of Sherri? I think she comissioned a “gimp” artist to paint her portrait circa 2005…this is it.

  19. LindsAY Says:

Sher was MARRIED to Warren Beatty. DUH!
