Alison Krauss…Not After All
I have just been notified that Alison Krauss will NOT be performing at the 2008 James Burton International Guitar Festival, as previously reported. I was asked by YouTube to remove the interview I did with James, where he stated that Krauss emailed him that she would perform.  Will keep you posted. Â

I just talked with James Burton’s peeps. They said Alison had a “scheduling conflict due to family engagements”. To prevent further confusion, I’m pulling the interview from YouTube. That will probably affect what’s on my site.

Who needs Allison Krauss anyway, why don’t they just give the time slot to Hazel and Jimmy?? I’ve heard that they’ve just returned from the European leg of their World Tour to rave reviews!! I’m not sure what genre of music they perform; but if they’re the new musical sensation on the scene then I want to see what the hoopla is all about. From what I’ve heard, they could be the biggest thing hitting the States since the Atlantic crossing of the Fab Four.
Oh, BTW Sherri, I’ve heard that you’re in real good with Hazel and Jimmy. So, since you’re a big time groupie of H&J (do they mind if I call them that??), then I was wondering…you know…if you could…maybe score me some backstage passes and a couple of autographs (or a small lock of hair)…I was just wondering…if it’s not too much trouble of course!!…lol!!

Aside from being totally distraught about Krause not making it to the festival, I guess I could get a little excited about H&J filling the slot. Maybe they could bust out of their “crib” and do a little shake, “rattle”, and roll with Burton. I have heard that their hot single “Diaper Droop” was rising the charts thanks to their video on youtube.
