Riveria Paradise?
Thursday, June 26th, 2008Remember those great outdoor concerts in Shreveport’s Veteran’s Park in the 1970s, where the band played on a cool island-type amphitheatre?  You could sit on a hill that may have previously been a dumping ground (like you’d care if you knew that back then) and see Heart, Stevie Ray Vaughan, A-Train and Michael Martin Murphey.Â
Then people junked-up the area.
There are so many ways to enhance Clyde Fant Parkway to where it could be better enjoyed by all of us. But how?  Shreveport Public Assembly & Recreation peeps and others were taking ideas from the public tonight.  Some of the recommendations in the recreation plan’s second draft include sculptured gardens, a leash-free dog park, information kiosks and connections between the Red River paved trail and the Teague Parkway trail, forming a ten mile loop.Â
Click here to see the plan and let SPAR know what you think.
For our purposes, just curious…do you use Clyde Fant Parkway? For what? What would you like to see there?Â
