Co-Anchor Clothing Collaberation?
Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008
Tuesday was Earth Day and Gerry and I each wore green and brown on the set. How cute.
This is scary. It happens all the time. Despite what many viewers think, it’s not planned. I assure you.
The day Gerry and I showed up wearing violet was eerie. Fletch: ”Stop the violets!”
There’s just not time to go home and change. And usually it’s not that noticable. But, when I was anchoring the morning show with Sharon Delaney and Tracey Johnson and we all showed up wearing navy suits with white piping, I had to say something on the air. The mics were cued with the opening shot of all three of us and I began with, “Good morning. Thank you for flying Delta.”
Back from Boston
Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008Bruce Seelinger (top picture) of Apex, NC took some incredible pictures of the Boston Marathon. I’m working on a slide show (will try to get it up and running today) for you. It’ll include Bruce’s pictures of:
The Marine (bottom pic) who walked the entire 26.2 miles in full battle gear
Team Hoyt, a father who pushes his special needs son (900 races for them!)
The dramatic women’s first place finish
Joe Haynes! (Yes, Joe, Bruce got pics of you during the race)
Lance Armstrong
Lots of other people with inspiring stories of overcoming seemingly impossible odds – Thanks for taking us there, Bruce!
